The Problem: I am and i am a writer. I'm trying to write a fantasy story right now but i have a major thinking block. I was wondering if anyone out there had a plot or a subject i could write about. I want it to be more along the lines of Harry Potter fantasy. Not copying it or anything near it. Just that very magical and happy but sad and suspensefull feeling to it. Nothing like lord of the rings. I'm thinking i want the setting on a tropical island. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Oh and no over magical stuff like a fairy, unicorn and a rainbow.

Write about something morbid and depressing where the main character dies and their siblings save the day or something. Sorry if this doesn't help
well im a writer so from writer to writer ill help i think that maybe u should write about something like ur fantsy world like if in a world animals talk or pig flew then try to like make a tory like someone is sent to the future or something

Oh that seems fun,you should write about somone who finds a secret pasage to a new world,unicorns fairys mermaids..and candy houses or anything creative..Then write theres a evil witch and they have to find here and they pass through forests and instead of trees its candy cains.

kcJul 08 2005 8:16pmFLAGDude... all you need to do is think of a storyline no one has ever thought of before and write about it. Every good story has a THEME... you know what that is right? Get a theme or four(love, hate, revenge, sacrifice, death,) and weave a plot.
